It’s the simple details we love. 👌
The natural character of the oak, the gentle curves of the braces, the traditional oak pegs and the way everything comes together.
It’s these little details that make each timber frame so special to us.
There’s something lovely about letting the timber speak for itself. Every grain, knot and natural split tells its own story, and it’s all part of what makes working with oak such a pleasure.

A little glimpse inside one of our oak framed projects…
This is a snippet from an annex we completed just before Christmas last year.
Designed to feel as though it has always belonged to the property, the exposed oak frame brings warmth, character and a real sense of craftsmanship to the space.
We particularly love how the natural oak sits alongside the traditional furnishings and finishes.
For us, great timber framing isn’t just about creating a structure — it’s about creating spaces that become part of the home and get better with age.

Who says alfresco dining has to end with summer?🍂
This bespoke oak-framed garden kitchen creates a sheltered place to cook, dine and entertain long after the summer evenings have gone.
With its traditional oak frame, exposed roof structure and integrated cooking area, it feels less like an outdoor building and more like another room of the home — just with a rather better view.
A space for Sunday lunches, evenings around the table and firing up the BBQ whatever the season.
Beautiful timber. Thoughtfully designed. Built to be enjoyed for years.
If you’re considering an oak-framed garden room, outdoor kitchen or entertaining space, we’d love to discuss what we could create for you.

The Rummage Hut — named in honour of a much-loved Spaniel.
Designed and built for a well-respected local landowner, this shooting shelter sits perfectly in a spectacular Dorset valley.
Crafted as a full oak-framed structure with cedar shingle roof tiles and larch battens, it’s a small building with plenty of character.
